Vaccinations

Welcome to Our Baby Clinic

We are delighted to welcome you and your little one to our Baby Clinic. Our clinic is designed to provide a calm, supportive, and professional environment where your baby’s health and development are our priority. From routine immunisations to trusted guidance, we aim to partner with parents every step of the way during your child’s early years.

Vaccines are one of the safest and most effective ways to protect babies and children from serious, preventable illnesses. In the early years of life, a child’s immune system is still developing, which makes them more vulnerable to infections. Vaccinations help the body learn how to fight these diseases safely, without the child having to become seriously ill. By vaccinating your child, you are not only protecting them but also helping to protect other babies and families in the community.

FAQS

Are vaccines safe for my baby?

Yes. Vaccines used in South Africa are carefully tested and monitored for safety. Serious side effects are very rare, and the benefits of protection far outweigh the risks.

Will my baby feel pain during vaccinations?

Your baby may feel brief discomfort, but we use gentle techniques to minimise pain and keep your baby calm and comfortable throughout the visit.

What side effects should I expect?

Most babies may have mild side effects such as a sore arm, slight fever, or fussiness for a day or two. We will guide you on what is normal and when to seek advice.

What if my baby is unwell on the day of vaccination?

If your baby is unwell, we will assess them first. Some minor illnesses are safe for vaccination, while others may require postponement — your baby’s safety always comes first.

What if my child has missed some vaccines?

It’s never too late. We can create a personalised catch-up schedule to ensure your child is safely protected.

Do you accept medical aid?

Yes, medical aid consultations and private payments are available, depending on your individual plan.
